Hunter Education
Overview
Hunter Education will teach you the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to become a safe and responsible hunter. Hunter Education is a requirement to hunt in Nevada.
Is Hunter Education Required in Order to Buy a License?
Yes, in many cases. In order to buy a license, Nevada requires that hunters who were born after January 1, 1960, must first complete a course approved by the Nevada Department of Wildlife and IHEA-USA.
Notification Clause
This program receives Federal financial assistance from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Under Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the U.S. Department of the Interior prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability.

If you require certification for the big game draw and are 18 or older, please take our online-only course at hunter-ed.com. If you are 17 or younger, you must first complete the online homework prior to the in-person session.
