Vermont Hunter Education Home Study


Overview

Before taking the Hunter Education Home Study students must first complete the prerequisite online course. Students who are over the age of 12 are eligible for our online only certification at Hunter-Ed.com

Home Study students are required to bring the online course completion certificate when they come to class.

Would-be hunters must successfully complete the Hunter Education course in order to purchase their first license. All courses are led by certified volunteer instructors, all are free, including materials. All courses, reading materials, and exams are written at a 6th grade reading level.

Courses are available year-round, but our peak season is August through October. If you fail to find a course that meets your needs, check back frequently. This site is updated as new courses are scheduled.
